Uphill Journey

grandma called me this morning to tell me that there was an article in the sentinel about me.  pretty cool.  It's titled Another Uphill Battle.   

 

And...i never said the last quote about me scoring in the big ten.  kinda makes me sound stupid.

every year the big ten conference gives each athlete a gift.  this year they sent us really sweet luggage.  just thought it was really cool:)

so for valentines day tony sent me a dozen roses and took my out to THE BEST DINNER EVER!  we went to a place in okemos called "still water".  I had filet mignon and crab legs and he had prime rib and lobster.  it was awesome!  I made him a giant cookie and got him a gift card to get a massage.  

Ouch!

today i slipped and fell down a tall flight of stairs right on grand river.  i hit my head and blacked out.  i then woke up and tried to get to my car and after falling twice i finally made it.  of course i didnt have my phone on me so i borrowed some girls' on the street and called the im west training room.  my trainer and good friend picked me up.  then we went to the training room and did a few tests and i sat there for a while because i felt like i was going to through up.  tomorrow im going to get more done.  needless to say, my head hurts and im feeling like i got hit by a bus.  they think i had a  minor concussion.  perfect timing right?   

WRONG!  1 week from tomorrow i swim my 50 at the big tens.

hahahahaha!  So...if you haven't read Emily's post please do first.  The book i just happened to be reading is called "Our Sexuality" and it's for my Human Sexuality class.  No joke, this is what was on page 127, 5 sentences down...  enjoy:)
