Bonfire in Indian River

makin beats.
Lance on the mic.
Gabe
The other night Lance's friend Gabe had a bonfire in Indian River.  Who would have ever thought that I would be hangin' out in the IR with Jake and Katrina's old friends?  They all seem pretty musical up here... hence the PA system and all the hookups.  So far, so good up here.

5 Random Thangs Bout Me

1) I am perhaps the most indecisive person you may ever meet.  I don't typically like to make plans because I've learned that life throws stuff at ya' and you just have to go with it.  I like to be spontaneous because most of my favorite memories were unplanned random adventures.

2) Next to crab legs my favorite foods are either "tina" burritos (of course smothered in cheese) or double cheeseburgers.  Now that I'm done swimming I have to watch my calories a bit but I will never give these two foods up.

3)  I loooove trashy reality television and am not ashamed to say it:)  The Bachelor(ette), the Real World, The Hills, Wife Swap, Survivor and Rob & Big are my favorites.

4)  My favorite place in the whole world is the beach... any beach will do.  I love the sunshine, the water, the smell, that sand, the sound...  pretty much everything.

5) I have a tattoo.  no.. just kidding.  or am I???

Toskey!

The Cavalac did its job and brought me here to beautiful Petoskey.  I unpacked and then went out to the lighthouse.  I'm gonna love it here!

View of downtown from the pier.  Lovely!
Loverbirds.

Last hurray in EL before Petoskey

My friends and I went out one last time last night before the group begins to split off.  With myself going to Petoskey and others moving on in life the east lansing nightlife will never be the same.

Somatime

This weekend was gorgeous in the EL.  I spent two days at the pool NOT swimming laps.  The closest i got to actually working out in that pool was dipping my hair in so i could splash on some lemon juice in hopes of getting really cheap highlights.

The girls during bath time.
This girl goes crazy for naked time!
What an adorable tiny little girl.
Cheese.  "lemme see it!"

Mom and I had a great time in Indy, as always.  We babysat, went shopping, ate out, and spent some quality time with the little ladies.  Can't wait to get back.

Playing dress up!

Since Ma and Pa are in the process of cleaning out the ol' house we have been sorting through all of the junk accumulated in the last 20 years or more.  After Jenna and I were sorting all day and getting stuff ready for the VDR's garage sale we decided to play dress up.  Check out my combat boots (aka our heavy, old snowmobiling boots from when we were twelve).    and...  that is my red sports car we are posing on.  jealous?

Demolition: Day 1

Dad tore into my old bedroom today while us girls spent the day organizing the basement and the rest of the house.    It was sad to see it go... I have so many memories in that room.  Here are a few of my fondest memories:  1) Buddy sprawling across my twin bed while I lay curled up in the fetal position  2)  Sunday afternoons spent on lockdown to let Dad have a much needed nap  3)  Waking up to the smell of ripe dog s*** (bless huffmasters heart)  4)  singing the jeopardy song but all the words were substituted as "mommy, mommy, mommy mom...) 5) my boogy wall.  (cant believe i just admitted that one...)

Well, there ya have it.  My old bedroom is no longer.

I love my Ma!

Mom, I just wanted to let you know how thankful I am to have you as my mother.  You are the best a girl could ask for.  You've always supported me, financially and emotionally:) and have always put up with my ups and downs.  Thanks for being my Mom.

Happy Mothers Day!

I'm moving on!

Wednesday I decided to skip town and head up to Jenna's new crib.  The place looks great and the town is so pretty.  When I was there I decided to check out a couple of retail stores just for fun and got offered two jobs both paying way more than anywhere here in East Lansing.  I decided yesterday, while having such a gracious big sister and offering her castle to me for the summer, to move up there.  I'm going to be moving within the next week or two and I cannot wait.  It's definately time for me to venture out of the EL even just for a short summer.  I already met a couple of Lance's friends, one of which is the son of Wanda, the owner of the retail store I'm going to work at.  Lance has some really cool friends. Here are a few pictures of one of the nights out on the town we had.

Kelsey's Wedding

The wedding was a success!  Everyone (especially me) missed the dejonge clan though...
