More tailgate fun!

So as you already know, MSU kicked some notre dame butt this weekend.  I didn't go to the game but I did tailgate for ALLLLLL day.  I met some new friends and had a blast!

A true spartan tailgates even in a downpour!

I spent last Saturday tailgating and rooting on the mighty mighty spartans.  Liz came to visit and we had a wild time as always.  This is why I love my school!

Happy Birthday to Jenna!

This post is dedicated to my very beautiful, charming, talented, and selfless big sister, Jenna.

I was skeptical about taking her up on the offer to live with her this summer in Petoskey for many reasons.  One being that I didn't really have a reason to move up there other than wanting to get away from East Lansing, but also because I wasn't sure how we would get along.
Growing up we fought often over tedious things like who would drive to school, who would lead a set in swim practice, and who got to wear the newest shirt to school the next day.  Although this was when we were much younger and much more concerned about our outer appearances than anything, I still wondered whether or not we would still bicker over the little things.
I decided to take her up on her generosity and move into her two bedroom apartment with her.   Instantly things went really well and I enjoyed her company.  She (and Lance) helped me find two jobs which I loved and allowed me to make some money and both of them were very nice in letting me tag along with them to hang out.
I ended up meeting lots of nice people, making decent money, enjoying the many beaches of northern michigan, and getting refreshed for another school year at MSU.  I grew a lot as a person this summer but perhaps just as importantly (or more!), I grew closer to my older sister Jenna.  Before this summer I never really thought of her as a friend.  I've always loved her just like I love everyone in my family, but I never really realized that we could also be friends.
I look up to you so much Jenna.  You are such a strong person for enduring everything that has been dealt to you and I admire you for that.  Thanks for being an awesome sister!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNA!
